At the Presbytery Meeting I shared the next steps of the new presbytery organization.

• Next Presbytery meetings -There are dates on the calendar for next Presbytery meetings for April, May and June. We will NOT be meeting in April. The next Presbytery meeting is May 11 at 7 pm via Zoom.
• The new domain name for the Presbytery of the Highlands of New Jersey is highlandspresbyterynj.org. You can reach the website using that address. The emails have not be switched over yet. Once they are you will be able use both newtonpresbytery.org and highlandspresbyterynj.org to reach your favorite staff person. We will let you know when that change over happens.
• The Presbytery Logo is a temporary one. When we have completed the Discernment Process we will redesign the logo. In the mean time, Special THANK YOU to Elder Ken Nickel for the design. 
• Communication – We have a Highlands Presbytery Facebook page, a Highlands Presbytery Facebook Discussion group, and Highlands Presbytery webpage. We still have to convert or start a Highlands Presbytery YouTube, Instagram, and Twitter.
• Most of the business at our Presbytery meeting focused on the Ecclesiastical part of the Presbytery. We are still working on the Corporation part of the organization. This will take few more months before that is all transitioned. UNTIL that time please make out check to the Presbytery of Newton. We will let you know when you can start sending checks to The Highlands Presbytery.
• The Transition team, which may get a name change, is the group that will lead the presbytery through a Discernment Process of asking the question, Where is God leading the Presbytery in mission, vision and ministry. This team will be reporting to you on a regular basis and inviting you to activities and events throughout the year.

• This transition will take time. Our focus is not going to be on documents and policies this year but on becoming a new community and following God’s call. Stay tune more information will be rolling out soon.
