Post Easter Prayer

We celebrated a second Easter under Pandemic restrictions. So much has happened since this time last year. Most prominent is the losses we have

experienced. We all have our lists.

We all have lost a loved one or know someone who has died because of the COVID virus or because of the lockdown restrictions. There has been a lot of loss. In the United States over 560,000 people have died from COVID. Worldwide over 2.9 million people have been lost to the virus.

Easter is story of loss, death, love, and resurrection. Even though we have celebrated another Easter in lockdown we are reminded that God love continues to surround us   and there is nothing that can separate us from the God’s love.

Prayer

Loving God, the strength of those believed and the hope of those who doubt, may we, who have not seen, have faith and receive the fullness of Christ’s blessing.  May those who mourn this season the loss of a loved one, a spouse, of a colleague, a neighbor, a friend or  people they know; may they be surrounded with God’s light and love.  We celebrate this Easter season that Christ is alive and reigns with you and in unity with the Holy Spirit, on God, now and forever. Amen.
