At the September Presbytery meeting the Presbytery  moderator and vice moderator for 2022 were elected. Tracey and Tom will be installed at the November Presbytery Meeting and begin their duties on January 1, 2022

Meet the next moderator and vice moderator.

Moderator – Elect ~ The Rev. Tracey Henry

The Rev. Tracey Henry

A native of Northern Ireland, Tracey has been living and working in the United States since 2000.  A one year internship, sponsored by the Presbyterian Church in Ireland, led her on a path to ministry which she had never thought possible.  Tracey earned her Bachelor’s Degree in English and Theology at the Queen’s University of Belfast and completed her Master’s of Divinity at Princeton Seminary in the Spring of 2007. She has been joyfully serving as Pastor of Clinton Presbyterian Church since 2013 having previously served churches in Pittsburgh and Philadelphia.

Together with her husband, David, she is raising a tiny tribe of three boys: Nathan, Parker and Davis.

Vice-Moderator Elect ~ The Rev. Thomas A. Brown

The Reverend Thomas A. Brown

A Southern California native, Tom first joined the church and was baptized while he was in high school. His early interest in becoming a pastor stem from ministry experiences in college as an intern and youth group leader. Before deciding to enroll in seminary, Tom spent a year as an urban mission intern in Hollywood, CA, in a precursor to PCUSA Young Adult Volunteer Program.

Ordained by the Presbytery of San Fernando in the Fall of 1999, after graduating with a dual M.Div./M.A. degree from Princeton Theological Seminary, Tom was installed as Associate Pastor at the Presbyterian Church of Western Springs (Chicago Presbytery), where he served until returning to New Jersey in 2012 to accept a call as the Associate Pastor for Congregational Life at the Presbyterian Church of Chatham Township.

Tom has held several leadership positions within both presbyteries, including as Moderator of the Committee on Preparation for Ministry (Newton/Highlands Presbytery) and moderator of Presbytery Council in Chicago. Tom is looking forward to this new role and especially to working with the presbytery staff and members of the Administration and Coordinating Team.

When not involved in church or presbytery work, Tom enjoys exploring the outdoors – either on foot or bicycle – and home renovation projects. He and his father-in-law are currently redoing the front porch. Tom and his wife Alison (who directs the music program at a nearby Episcopal church) are raising two teenage boys, Zach and Nathan.
