As we approach the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence in 2026, we remember the profound role New Jersey played in the birth of our democracy. Local Presbyterian congregations, their members, and their pastors were at the heart of this historic effort.

To honor our country’s semiquincentennial, we want to recognize and preserve the unique stories and contributions of our faith community during the American Revolutionary War (1775–1783).
