Prayers to Leave it in God’s Hands
If we have learned anything, we have learned that no one knows what the new year will hold, but we thank God that every moment of 2022 is already in God’s hands. As the people of God we go forward with confidence and in peace. Let us pray for the year behind us and the year ahead.
“Our great and gracious God, as we come to the close of another year, we are thankful that you have been with us through each day of this past year. You have comforted our hearts, You have heard our prayers, You have come so often to our aid.
Go with us now into this new year. Give us the courage to begin again — to overlook the difficulties and stay open to the moment as best we can. As we look to the future, help us reflect on the past and remember the lessons it’s taught us May we always look to you for our strength and guidance. Amen.”
