What is Missional Giving?
Missional is about moving outward in mission and ministry.
Missional is about developing disciples to go out into the world.
Missional Giving in the Presbytery of the Highlands is a voluntary gift for those budget items that focus on moving outward and developing disciples.
For 2022 we specifically identified Johnsonburg, Synod Mission , Triennium and Young Leader Formation for Missional Giving funds.
What is Per Capita?
The purpose of the Presbytery and other Mid Councils is to help congregations and the Church, as a whole in their work of mission, ministry and transformation of the world. (F-3.01). The Presbytery is a community of the congregations supporting each other in mission and ministry.
Per Capita is the financial expression of our mutual support for each congregation’s work in transforming the world.
Per Capita is equitable and mutually beneficial for all congregations. It is theologically cohesive with our polity and supports resources and care that we cannot provide on our own.
