The Presbytery of the Highlands Spring Meeting | May

On May 12th, the Presbytery of the Highlands will gather for its Spring Meeting to mark a season of growth and renewal. Inspired by Song of Solomon 2:11–12, this is a time to recognize what is beginning to bloom among us and where God is leading us next.

This gathering centers on planting seeds for the future through connection, shared leadership, and faithful imagination. We will reflect on how our teams began the year building relationships and strengthening collaboration across the Presbytery.

Beginning at 4PM at Johnsonburg’s Highland Pavilion (in-person), we will celebrate 70 years of women’s ordination and take part in a symbolic act of planting to celebrate Highlands’ fifth anniversary,  all as we look ahead with hope and purpose.

The business portion of the Presbytery meeting will begin at 6:30PM in the Dining Hall, following dinner; this will be in-person and hybrid. The celebrations will continue, with members of Highlands Presbytery authorized by the Commission on Ministry to preside, as well as preach, in our congregations.as Commissioned Presiding Elders.

Among the other matters coming before the Presbytery, brief, information-only, descriptions of the overtures coming before the General Assembly this summer will be presented. If you are interested in what will be coming before our national church, this is an important opportunity.
