Dear Presbytery of the Highlands,

From May 15 to June 25 I will be on Presbytery Leader Sabbatical Part 1.

After  a three-year delay I will be taking time to rest and restore after 10 + years of ministry with you.

While on sabbatical I will not be checking emails or responding to phone calls related to the presbytery.  Nor will I be on social media ( I need a sabbatical from that also). I will be reviewing the emails upon my return.  However if you need a response earlier than the first week of July please resend the email to either Steve Shussett – steves@highlandspresbyterynj.org or Sonja -office@highlandspresbyterynj.org

My sabbatical time will include a retreat on the Isle of Iona, preaching on Pentecost Sunday in Glasgow and possibly sitting in on a session of the Church of Scotland General Assembly. Mostly this will be a time to let my soul rest and listen for the whispers of the Holy Spirit.

During this time the Presbytery Staff and others will be (as always) available to assist and resource the pastors, church leaders and congregations of our presbytery. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact Steve Shussett.
