5 Whatever house you enter, first say, ‘Peace to this house!’ 6 And if a person of peace is there, your peace will rest on that person, but if not, it will return to you.

God of Peace,
Renew the weary world.
Anger,
suffering,
destruction,
and violence are the
messages we hear of the world,
both far off locations and
in our communities.
Despite all the turmoil and grief
of our world today.
we have access to your vast
and endless peace, through the death
and resurrection
of Jesus Christ,
God, you call us to be the bearers of peace.
Let us this week, this day,
enter into the our communities ready
and willing to witness to your peace.
May your peace be upon all the houses
of our communities and beyond.
Amen.
Peace to this house – The empty concrete bunker was the house for Cold War Nuclear Missiles. The bunkers have long been empty of the weapons of mass destruction and are homes to the local wildlife. The area that once was busy with Cold War activity is now quiet with only the sound of the wind in the trees.
