The end of summer is upon us.  Schools have started (or will be soon). Vacations have been completed and pictures posted on social media.  The fall calendar has taken over our attention and time.

Before you sharpen your pencils and pack the backpack all those items on the classroom list and before you put away the items for the shore trip and go digging around in the closet for the fall sweaters and jackets, take a few moments to breathe and reflect on this past season and look toward the season that is beginning.

Take a few moments to reflect on where the Spirit led the way and the moments where you experienced God’s love.

A Blessing for the Closing of a Season

Some of us will begin a new season, a new schedule.
Some of us will be continuing as if the season doesn’t change.

Whatever our daily schedule,
whatever our comings and goings,
God, you are always with us.

We ask your blessing, God,
on our lives,
our homes,
our journeys.
Wherever we rest,
wherever we travel,
bless us with love and wonder,
every day.
Amen.
