Be Who God Made You to Be: A Family Spirituality Camp for Children and their Parents

March 1, 2025

9am-1pm

Lunch Included

Johnsonburg Camp and Retreat Center

Sponsored by the Presbytery of the Highlands

Young Leader Formation Team

We are excited to host our second family spirituality camp geared for children 4-12 years old* and their parent(s). In this morning of stories, teaching, experiences, fun, crafts, and music, those present will learn about the ways in which God gifts, inspires and calls each of us to care for others in the daily moments of life.

Research in Lisa Miller’s The Spiritual Child shows that “children who have a positive, active relationship to spirituality” are less likely to use and abuse substances, be depressed in their teenage years, or participate in dangerous activities. “The only thing that science has shown to reliably predict fulfillment, success, and thriving [is] a child’s spiritual development.”

There is no fee for this event or lunch, but a freewill offering will be received. RSVPs are required to ensure we have enough supplies. Those with food restrictions and allergies are asked to bring their own food, and to enjoy what they can of the provided food and drink.

We look forward to seeing you and your child(ren) on March 1st from 9am-1pm at Johnsonburg!

*if you are interested, and have children who span a wider age range than 4-12, please contact Steve Shussett so that we can include your family.  steves@highlandspresbyterynj.org
