Presbytery Meeting Homework

Preparation for the Presbytery Meeting

The Presbytery of the Highlands will gathering for the first time on Tuesday, March 16 at 7 pm via ZOOM.

The Synod of the Northeast Administrative Commission has called the meeting and will lead us through the first few moments as we elect the moderator and vice moderator. The work of the presbytery at this meeting is to vote on a temporary Manual of Operations.

Everyone has HOMEWORK

Every council is required to have a manual of operations. There is not really a “one book” manual but a collection of Bylaws, policies, documents, guidelines, protocols, and procedures.

In order to allow everyone a chance to ask questions or provide comments about the numerous documents there is a comment button on the Manual of Operations page. Please review the documents and use the comment section to ask questions, point out edits or grammar, or make comments. Your questions and comments will be answered at the presbytery meeting.

You will still be able to ask questions at the meeting but if you have questions or comments ahead of time it will save time and redundancy at the meeting. There are a lot of documents to review please take time before the meeting to review and familiarize yourself with the documents.
