The moon was full last week. We gazed and admired its brilliance.

Also, last week NASA announced that they had reconnected Voyager 2 after losing contact a few weeks ago. Voyager 2 was launched in 1977 and has traveled into the universe over  12 billion miles.  We admired its resilience to keep going deeper and deeper into the cosmos.

We looked up into the universe and marveled at the heavens above our head.  Sometimes we also need to look down and marvel at the small things at our feet. God created it all.

Let us pray for the smallest of things too… 

God of the universe
we are truly grateful for the cosmos
and that which is bigger beyond our understanding. 

You are the God of the little things also.
Help us to be aware of the insects,
the sprouts,
the snails,
the petite growth in the stone walls,
and those small things we overlook.

You are the God of the Universe above.
And the God of creation below our line of sight.
We look up to admire your creation.
We glance down and glimpse your awesome design also.

We give thanks this day for the big things and
For the small, littlest things that make up
our world and environment. We are truly grateful.
