Prayers for the Future
An email arrived last week to announce that it was time to start planning for the 2022 Presbyterian Youth Triennium. It felt strange to be thinking so far ahead. As the pandemic lingered, the future began to feel further and further away. The focus was on what needs to be done today or this week. Receiving that email was like resetting a clock. It helped bring the future back into perspective and give hope.
“Loving God, as we step into the future, in the face of all the changes and challenges that have taken place all around us, we are confident that you will continue to be with us to lead and to guide, to help and to protect, to comfort and support, for our hope and our future is in you alone. Amen”
