Once again, we receive the news of an act of violence on innocent people. In a supermarket in Buffalo, NY a 18 year old opened fire with a rifle, killing 10 and wounding 3.  Also, In Dallas, the shooting of three women of Korean descent happened on Friday.

O Lord, how long before we treat each other with respect and love. O Lord, when will all live in peace and security?

Let us pray,

God of the ages, give comfort and courage to those who are suffering and grieving and wondering why.
Give Strength and sill to those who are working to save and heal.
Give your peace that passes all understanding in these moments of shock, sadness, and sorrow.
Give us a glimpse of what we must do as your people to keep this from happening again.
Open our eyes, hearts, and hands to the movements of your Spirit, that we might be comforted and comfort others in the name of Christ, our healer and our light. AMEN
